Reverend Tom Simmons is a dedicated spiritual leader with a lifetime commitment to serving God and His people. Raised in Fairfax, Virginia, and currently serving as the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Purcellville since 2002, Tom has led a life deeply entwined with religious leadership.

Growing up as a young soldier and Capitol House staffer, he felt an undeniable call to devote his life to the church. Following this call, Tom embarked on an enriched educational journey, earning an M.Div from Westminister Seminary, an M.A in Christian Education from Virginia Seminary, and finally, a D.Min in preaching from Gordon-Conwell Seminary.

Tom's penchant for community involvement sees him serving on the Board of Coaching Mission International and as Chaplain for the Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad, amongst other roles. His mission transcends the traditional realms of religious service; his approach to ministry reflects his creative vision, his empowering leadership style, and his utmost dedication.

The motivation for this blog came from his desire to reach, connect and spiritually nurture a wider audience. He realized that he could intertwine his proficiency in photography and writing with his experiences in marketing to create content that resonates deeply with his readers. His writing spans quite a few interesting topics from branding, creative workflows to reflections on his personal journey as a priest and balancing work-life dynamics.

Apart from serving the church, Tom also enjoys woodworking, playing strategy games, and mentoring aspiring preachers. He shares his life with his supportive wife, Danielle, and their blended family.
